Dr. Timothy Hackmann
Timothy Hackmann is an assistant professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of California, Davis. His laboratory focuses on improving nutrition of ruminants through study of the microbes of the rumen. One specific goal is to discover biochemical pathways that microbes use to ferment carbohydrates in feed. Hackmann received a BS in biological sciences (University of Missouri), an MS in animal sciences (University of Missouri), and a PhD in nutrition (The Ohio State University).
